About Ms Melody

A second home, full of wonder.

Hi, I'm Melody — and for years I've had the privilege of caring for families' most precious little people. What started as a love for early childhood education grew into this licensed home-based daycare, where every child is known, celebrated, and gently guided as they grow.

We keep our groups small on purpose. That means real eye contact, real conversations, and plenty of time to just be a kid — splashing in the water table, building block towers, singing silly songs, and discovering the world one curious question at a time.

Every child deserves to feel seen, safe, and absolutely delighted in — every single day. — Ms Melody

Our Approach

Play is how children understand the world.

We believe the best early childhood care is rooted in warm relationships, unhurried play, and gentle guidance — not worksheets or rigid schedules. Here's what that looks like in practice.

01

Connection first

Secure attachments are the foundation of everything else. We take time to really know each child.

02

Play-based learning

Every block tower, dress-up story, and mud pie is teaching something. We follow the child's curiosity.

03

Gentle discipline

Clear limits, lots of empathy. We coach through big feelings instead of punishing them.

04

Partnership with parents

You're the expert on your child. Daily updates, open conversations, and no judgment — ever.

Parent Words

What families say.

"Ms Melody is the reason I can go to work each day with peace of mind. My daughter runs in excited every morning — that tells me everything."

— Sarah K., mom of Ava

"The level of care and attention here is something you can't find in a big center. Our son has grown so much in a year."

— Marcus & Priya T.

"She treats every child like family. We've had two kids come through and couldn't recommend her more highly."

Parent Info

Questions, answered.

What are your hours and rates?

We're open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please reach out for current weekly rates and part-time options — we're happy to walk you through everything.

Are meals and snacks included?

Yes — healthy meals and snacks are provided. We're a completely peanut-free environment and stay vigilant about all food allergies, so we can safely accommodate families with dietary needs.

What do I need to bring?

A change of clothes, diapers or pull-ups if needed, a water bottle, and a comfort item for nap time. We'll provide a complete list once you're enrolled.

Do you follow a curriculum?

We use a play-based approach inspired by Reggio Emilia and Montessori principles, with age-appropriate learning goals woven into everyday activities — reading, counting, fine motor skills, and early social-emotional development.

How do drop-off and pickup work?

Drop-off is flexible between 7:00 and 9:00 AM. Pickup is anytime before 5:00 PM. Only people on your authorized pickup list can pick up your child, and we'll always verify ID for anyone we don't know.

What's your policy on sick days?

To keep everyone healthy, children with fevers over 100°F, vomiting, or contagious illnesses need to stay home for at least 24 hours after symptoms resolve. We'll give you a full health policy at enrollment.

Can I come tour before enrolling?

Absolutely, and we strongly encourage it. Reach out through the contact form below and we'll schedule a time for you and your little one to come meet us.
